Blue is the New White Podcast

Aug 12, 2022

We’re joined today by Nicole LeClair, a Welding Engineering Technologist.

Nicole is currently a welding instructor in Ontario Canada

Her journey stars in high school where she took several trade related courses like automotive and shop, but never truly considered them for a career. Even though she loved working with her hands.

She went the more traditional route and went off to university after graduation… for all of about 4 months. She then took a good hard look at what she enjoyed, or rather, didn’t enjoy. And made a change. She dropped out of college and went to school for welding.

After achieving the highest levels of welding she could she went on to make it a career. Eventually she circled back to becoming an instructor after recognizing how much she loved educating her customers.

It was then she realized her passion for helping others succeed. Eventually that blossomed into creating a bursary to help people financially who genuinely want to make a career out of welding.

So listen in to hear an amazing story from an amazing person who clearly understands the power of the people in these industries.
