Today, we welcome BACK to the show, Mr. Ken Midgett. The last time we talked to Ken he was working as a plumbing instructor at the Lehigh Institute. It’s through Ken that we first met Paige Knowles, if you haven’t heard any of the episodes with Paige, do yourself a favor and find them. If there’s such thing as the “Next big thing” in the skilled trades, she’s it.
Well, a lot has happened since then and we’re going to get all caught up. Ken ended up changing careers to become a Home Domain Expert for Nationwide Insurance. That then led him to a mutual connection of mine, Interplay Learning. If you haven’t heard the episode with Doug Donovan from Interplay, be sure to go back and check it out.
The bulk of this episode is filled with tangible, actionable advice on how to procure students from local schools to begin home-growing your own technicians. Grab a notepad for this one, folks. Ken drops some unbelievable information that is sure to level up your business, kids careers, and the entire industry.
