Blue is the New White Podcast

Oct 23, 2020

Today’s guest is someone I’ve had the pleasure of knowing virtually for some time now. Although we met at a RFMA conference a couple years ago, we didn’t really begin talking until our mutual acquaintance Rich Malachy, shout out to Rich, Malachy Parts & Service, the matchmaker, connected us via Food Equipment Digital Disrupters. Mr Taz Sutherland, Facilities/Project Manager for Walmart.

Taz reminds me of that hunter Thompson quote: “Who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived or he who has stood securely on shore and merely existed?” Because just talking to him you can hear his true appreciation for life and all the people in it. Taz grew up on a farm in Arkansas. Needless to say, hands on work is in his blood.

His definition of success: to leave behind the right story that people want to listen to. And from where I’m standing, he’s doing a hell of a job. There is so much wisdom in this episode that I can almost guarantee there will be many more to follow.

As always, this show is not monetized & we don’t run ads. We rely strictly on the word of mouth from our listeners to further the mission. So if you enjoyed this episode, please take a moment to rate, review, and share. The future generations of tradespeople depend on it. On you! So thank you again and enjoy this episode of Blue is the New White with Taz Sutherland.
