Blue is the New White Podcast

Oct 14, 2022

The inspirational President of SAM Services and CFESA, Mr. Nick Cribb, joins us on the show today to talk about his journey from living well below the poverty line to becoming the president of a quick growing company and an industry association.

Nick’s story starts off in the south where he was given little to no direction as to what to do with his life after high school. He was fortunate to land a job at a bank and thrived all the way to 2007 when the banking industry all but collapsed. He was laid off.

This left him spiraling and wondering who he really was. He turned to pain killers and got himself into a bad spot with himself and his family. He knew he had to make a change and began his ascent into success.

While helping to remodel his church, he took charge of the process and the owner of a new small business took notice. He was offered a position as dispatcher for SAM services and was quickly recognized as someone who could drive accountability.

Three things stand out to me in this episode:

  1. Be the most honest version of yourself.

  2. You can only keep what you have if you give it away.

  3. And Nicks definition of success. Be a hero to your kids.
